Wehnelt Aperture (500um)

Package of 1

The 500-micron Wehnelt aperture sits at the bottom of the Wehnelt assembly. The electron emitter is positioned directly above the aperture, and an anode is located below. The anode is biased from approximately +1 kV to +30 kV to accelerate the electrons from the emitter towards the anode, thus creating an electron beam that passes through the Wehnelt aperture. The replaceable Wehnelt aperture improves the performance of the electron gun and overall imaging of the scanning electron microscope.
